Subject: For sale is an antique Japanese Igezara ware (or piecrust edge) porcelain transferware plate, decorated with typical Blue Willow designs of a riverside scene with pagodas, willows, birds, boats, buildings, bridges, and a fence. The border of the plate is decorated with distinctly Japanese cherry blossoms and a shippo pattern. Likely from the early 1900s. Plate measures 9 5/8" in diameter and weighs 1 lb 7.4 oz. Item is used in fair condition commensurate with age, see photos. Several small chips to edge of plate. Scratches and wear.
