Type: Katakuchi (mouthed bowl, or bowl with spout)
Material: Glazed ceramic pottery
Age: Edo (1603 - 1868) or Meiji Period (1868 - 1912)
Origin/Maker: Antique Matsushiro ware 松代焼, Shinshu ware, Matsushiro, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
The one used today is restoration in 1972 through reproduce by pieces of the original one as reference. Kiln is still manufacturing and one of the representatives at Hokushin area.
The characteristic of Matsushiro ware is blue-based and blue-green glaze flowed dynamically. Since the earth contains copper, the base becomes blue. Green glaze, the uniqueness of Matsushiro ware is made by natural resources completely.

Condition: Item is used in fair condition commensurate with age, see photos. Lots of crazing. Many hairline cracks. Spout repaired with contemporary gintsugi (silver repair). 5 original to manufacture stilt marks on inside of bowl.
