Genroku Tominaga 富永源六

In 1888, Tominaga Genroku built a porcelain kiln in Uchiyama, Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, and through extensive research into underglaze blue and white and underglaze painting, he established his own unique brand, "Genroku ware," which incorporated both tradition and trends. He exhibited his works at many exhibitions, including the St. Louis World's Fair and the Japan-British Exhibition, and received numerous awards. Genroku ware made exquisite use of subtle shades of color, demonstrating their high level of skill.
